The Fenway area sprung to life on Monday afternoon during the 2015 home opener of the Boston Red Sox who were playing against the Washington Nationals. The opening game day at Fenway Park had thousands of fans come out on a work day afternoon to enjoy a beautiful spring day at the ballpark with temperatures in the upper 60s. The Sox won 9-4. The ball game was welcome relief after what seemed to be a never-ending plight of record-breaking, bone-chilling winter which dumped more than a hundred inches of snow in the state.
