Environmentalists React to Plan to Dump Snow in Boston Harbor

Dumping in Boston’s harbor was once common practice, until a massive cleanup effort put a stop to the custom in 1990. But last week, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced that the city will consider dumping snow from its overflowing snow farms into the harbor. BU News Service reporter Jake Lucas spoke with advocates and environmentalists about Mayor Walsh’s latest last-resort proposal.
