The Supreme Court is passing on its first opportunity to re-enter the national debate on same-sex marriage today. The justices are delaying a decision on whether to hear any new cases on the issue. On Monday, the court reviewed seven cases challenging bans on same-sex marriage. If the court chooses these cases, it may force them to come to a nationwide-standard on the issue. WTBU commentator Joe Weil says now is the perfect time for the Supreme Court to address this matter.
